NEW ADA COURSE!

DESIGNING BARRIER FREE RESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENTS: KITCHENS, BATHING & TOILET FACILITIES, AND LAUNDRY ROOMS

We are pleased to announce the release our fifth one hour ADA course, Designing Barrier Free Residential Environments. This new course addresses the 2010 California Building Code access compliance requirements for residential areas where people with disabilities are most at risk for accidents: kitchens, bathing and toilet facilities, and laundry rooms. In this course, participants will also learn about the common risk factors for falls and some design strategies for reducing risk factors. Texas architects keep an eye out! We're adapting this course to your state's code, which is scheduled for release mid January 2012.

NEW ADA COURSE!

ADA FOR KIDS: ACCESSIBLE PLAY AREAS

As of March 15, 2012 all new and modified playgrounds and play areas will be required to meet the ADA guidelines for accessible play areas. We've adapted the guidelines developed by the U.S. Access Board into a colorful interactive course that makes it easy to understand the basic elements for designing a play area that meets ADA requirements. This is the fourth course in our ADA series. Click here to learn more about the course, or to REGISTER FOR THE COURSE NOW!
